Wont they just brick my quest 2 if they are investigating and see its been activated?

They've processed an advance refund.

The device cannot be bricked remotely.

If your purchase was through Oculus, they have the capacity to check If the device Is In use by Its serial number. As such, I suggest waiting for the Investigation to complete before using It.

RE: Quest 2 - Ordnael92 - 08-01-2022

Yesterday night I got an email from Meta saying that my Oculus account has been permanently suspended.
I had waited a week after getting my refund back before turning it on.
I only played single player games and never violated any of the "Conduct in VR policy" they say I broke.
Even after requesting further elaboration, they still haven't given me any: "your account is permanently suspended, here you can find policies, here you can find community standards...".
I'll keep pressing them for the exact reason of my ban and proceed from there.

So, to all people saying it's completely fine to use the headset after refunding it: they definitely keep tracking you, probably in a random way. Should you fall under their radar, though, they'll definitely notice and take action

Would you say you fall under their radar now and what do you think they'll do? You think they'll brick it or follow up

They can't do any more than they've already done.
I'll update once I've had a better chit-chat with them.

2 months ago, refund finalized after 1 month though. Meta proved to be insanely slow and inefficient in its processment.
