Ray-Ban success. - jellybelly - 07-23-2022

I ordered prescription glasses from Ray-Ban (over £400 GBP) and claimed EB. To make it a bit more "legit", I ordered a cleaning kit too which arrived the next day whereas the glasses took around 10 days. The package arrived from Italy and was delivered by UPS.

To my advantage, Ray-Ban had mistakenly put in a copy of someone else's prescription which had their name and order details on it. I expected Ray-Ban to be an easy hit anyway, but having this prescription would have made the situation more realistic/likely if Ray-Ban had been fussy.

The whole process was easy & straightforward - took just a few days.

I rang Ray-Ban the same day I received my glasses and explained the situation i.e. the glasses are not present and I received an empty glasses case.

The guy I spoke to over the phone immediately offered me a refund or replacement and said he would email me with further details. He emailed me asking for pictures of the empty case and said he'd escalate this issue to the back office for a resolution. I sent the images and he replied back apologising and asking for a proof of signature/driver's license/passport in order to process the replacement.

I didn't email him my signature/ID and replied saying I'd be happier with a refund as I need the glasses urgently and I was popping into my nearest Ray-Ban store tomorrow to get them sooner.

Once again, he got back to me confirming cancellation of the replacement and said I'd receive my refund within 3-5 business days. Easy.  Evil

Oh, sorry if I wasn't clear enough. What I meant was that there was another prescription in the package as well as mine. The glasses are definitely mine though - obvs I tried them on and made sure they were the ones I ordered.

The EB/missing Item method continues to maintain Its high success rate with Ray-Ban.

Congrats on your success.
