Amazon UK OTP advice - Specialbrewmike - 07-13-2022

I have in the past replaced a few items from amazon due to being faulty never high value...
Never DNA or SE'D it genuine account with probably 8 years transactions but over 1 month agen after finding out about SEing I did an rtx for around £300 on dna.. since then every item over £150 seems to have OTP I have around 9 genuine transactions since...

Taking advantage of prime day I ordered a speaker for £150 guess what OTP....

What are my options? I'm leaning towards Leaking battery but I'm open to all ideas seems this looks like the last time for it

@Specialbrewmike
I ordered 2 iphone pro max 128gb, they were sent to me with OTP, I managed to get the driver to leave the order for me without giving him the OTP, however the delivery man called technical support to get the OTP password on his own and when he tried to claim that he did not It arrived, I was told about the password that guarantees delivery, even so I kept insisting that it did not arrive and given the insistence, I was asked for a police report, which I went to request and now after about 10 days , I got a refund/replacement, what I want to tell you with this is that even with the OTP, there is a way for you to achieve the goal.

That's interesting to know its possible... but Im trying to avoid PR as i live in a rural area and we done a PR around 2 weeks ago for apple and they turned up at my home quizzing my wife really made her uneasy and basically could have called her a lier to her face so don't want that issue again

Do note that It may be a lengthy claims process.

Moreover, Amazon Is likely to remain adamant on requesting the return.

Quote: I'm open to all ideas
Although the weight Is significant, the wrong Item received method Is compatible.

If you don't want an OTP in the future, do this: order the item, one it's "dispatched" on tracking, cancel it and go to chat saying your time get returned, and request a replacement. The replacement will be sent and wont require an OTP or signature. I've done this twice and haven't needed to provide an OTP for replacements when they were needed with the orignal orders.

This is a very good thing to know, nice find

Also, OTP aren't in any way linked to your account standing, Amazon is just rolling it out on more and more items as people take more and more advantage of their policies

I canceled the delivery of it now. In the middle of seing a large Bluetooth speaker instead that's looking promising so far so we will see how that goes
