Am I screwed? Amazon partial EB - plop442 - 06-24-2022 I ordered a Galaxy watch and galaxy earbuds from Amazon, and will eb the watch. I live chatted with a rep who asked if I wanted a refund or replacement, and I choose replacement so it's not so suspect. I now got an email saying: It appears that Carrier has recorded your package as delivered on Thursday, June 23, 2022 to the correct location with the correct weight. Please allow 3 days while we investigate this matter. If you haven’t received your item by Monday, 27 June 2022 please let us know. Thank you for your understanding. Am I fucked or what? I can't return the watch because it's opened now, but the buds will be returned. I'm thinking, if they checked the weight and crosscheck, I'll say the box has c@rdboard which made it correct, and that the watch was missing. What do you think? The weight of the package was 0.5kg, and it was one package that had both items inside. RE: Am I screwed? Amazon partial EB - Rxndxm - 06-24-2022 Did you turn on the smartwatch? AFAIK Amazon is able to check for S/N going online. If after june 27 your claim is declined : Just call them and say that your roommate opened the package and he forgot the watch in his room or find any other bla bla Or say that you bought it for your roommate and he took it with him and went on holidays. Convince the rep that you've been wrong, if he tells you that they sent right item just SAY YES i was wrong sorry bla bla Wait 1 week, call them back and say that the watch is defective or not that good and you would like to return it FTID ( i won't recommend it) or legit return to get your money back. Make sure to record the return, Amazon now became really bullshit Even for legit returns they will say " its was an empty box" If they ask you for a PR just do it. Good luck RE: Am I screwed? Amazon partial EB - Nabeshin - 06-24-2022 That's a solid plan Also, SE 101: DO NOT USE YOUR ITEMS UNTIL YOU'RE REFUNDED, is it so hard to wait a couple days? You claimed PEB with the heaviest item, not the best option indeed, you can try saying only the watch was missing while the box and chargers were there, to justify the weight, if that doesn't work then do as the post above suggests, call it quits and return everything RE: Am I screwed? So...even if the watch wasn't in the package, the weight would have been the same on the package, because the other item is under 200 grams, and the total items would be under 500g (was 480 grams total package, I weighed it). Do yo think if I told them this it would fly? RE: Am I screwed? Amazon partial EB - mothered - 06-24-2022 Quote:will eb the watchWhat's the precise weight? Quote:It appears that Carrier has recorded your package as delivered on Thursday, June 23, 2022 to the correct location with the correct weight.Useless Information. The weight would've been taken at the carrier's depot, hence It cannot conclude the watch was In the package at the time of delivery to your address. The precise weight of the watch box was 213 grams (I weighed it when I got the package). I thought Amazon measure the weight at their warehouse and the carrier do too, so they crosscheck the carrier's weight to see if it matches. Is this how it works? Also, just wanted to say a big fucking thank you man; I've seen you on this forum and you are so helpful, I really mean it. RE: Am I screwed? Is this how it works?Correct. But they cannot confirm the weight at the time the package was delivered to your address. If you didn't mention the package wasn't tampered with, the watch was stolen after It was weighed at the depot. Since the earbuds and watch were in the same package, and on the package it said it was 0.5kg, how could they say the weight was correct upon delivery? I mean, since the package was less than 500 grams, it gets rounded up to 0.5kg. If I just ordered the watch on its own, which was 213 grams, the package would have still said 0.5kg because it's still within that 0 to 500 gram range. Couldn't I say that someone must have taken the watch out and replaced it with carrdboard instead? and that the weight of the package doesn't reflect the actual contents of it? RE: Am I screwed? Shipping scales do not Increment at 500 grams. For Instance, the watch was detected at 213 grams, so they'd deduct that figure from the package weight at 500 grams. If the watch was missing, the package should've weighed 287 grams (500 - 213 = 287) but It didn't. That's why they've said the weight was correct. Simply say you've noticed signs of tampering. RE: Am I screwed? Amazon partial EB - Smate27 - 07-01-2022 Any update on this investigation? |
