CD-Keys Refund - Blackyi22 - 06-16-2022

Hello,

I'm here to share my knowledge as for cd-keys refund.
I tried this method on some cdkeys sites [3rd party] (for games mostly, but also for software) as CDKEYS.com, kinguin.com ecc.
I've had 100% success in 10 or so tries, so it's actually pretty good, even with fresh accounts

I used those methods (depending on the vendor responses)
Method 1:
1) Buy the cdkey with a VCC that has the "cancel" option for payments (it stops your money being "blocked" by the vendor)
2) Claim the key on the account/software you are using (steam, microsoft account ecc)
3) Try to cancel the payment, cancel VCC and hope they will never confirm the payment (as it would make the "refund" rollback)

If the vendor confirms the payment go with
Method 2:
1) Claim the key
2) Contact the site support and follow up all of their request. (the requests would often be stupid proofs, like screenshots of your library (easily modifiable with html inspect element))

Wait for your refund

This is my first "guide" so forgive me for the mess

Would you mind sharing any examples? I've never seen one offering such a feature.

Stating the obvious, be sure to claim the key on a different account.

Yes, Revolut: if you press on the payment and it is in state "suspended, waiting for vendor to redeem payment" you can cancel it.

Yeah, good point

I neglected to thank you for the guide.

Much appreciated.

Revolut will always charge you back if you cancel the payment and the vendor redeems it. If instead you don't have funds anymore once the payment is redeemed by the vendor, your account will go in a negative balance.

They let you cancel the transaction, just to give you the funds back faster in case you already canceled the order and know that the payment won't be redeemed.

Yeah! That's why if the vendor redeems the credit you just canceled you have to write to the support and follow second part

^ This.

It's the backup plan.
