AMAZON MULTIPLE SEs - Ke__ - 06-11-2022 So I've made a new account on amazon on a Tor browser (new IP I hope) to hopefully avoid amazon linking my accounts and SEs... Though as I was about to buy airpods, it stated that on delivery I'll need to verify by saying my OTP from my emails. Does this mean they've flagged every account or is it random? I was planning to do an EB on these airpods but if they can see my previous purchases on my other accounts then I don't want to risk it. so is the OTP random or due to malicious activity? RE: AMAZON MULTIPLE SEs - mothered - 06-12-2022 Moved from The Lounge forum to Social Engineering. Quote:I was about to buy airpods, it stated that on delivery I'll need to verify by saying my OTP from my emails. An OTP Is simply used to verify you've received the package, so there's absolutely no cause for concern. Quote:I was planning to do an EB on these airpods but if they can see my previous purchases on my other accounts then I don't want to risk it.How many SEs have been performed on the other accounts? Has suspicion been raised at any point? Also, did you change "every Identifiable detail" on this account? Is that a problem? As I'm writing this, I've just logged into my new made amazon account on a tor browser. I ordered a pair of airpods yesterday and they've put my account on hold due to "unusual payment activity". Why is this? They want my most recent statement including my name, address, phone no. , and last 4 digits... As such, they're requesting the statement to confirm you're the authorized owner of the payment method. Thanks for all your help so far. RE: AMAZON MULTIPLE SEs - uiuasidjijjijio - 06-12-2022 (06-12-2022, 10:45 PM)Ke__ Wrote:I think a big factor aswell is that you're using TOR. No need for that. If you want a new IP use a vpn. If you don't have one (free ones exist) you normally get a new one from your isp when restarting your router.(06-12-2022, 04:27 PM)mothered Wrote:between every account, I tweak the layout, or change (street) to (st.) , or put in extra details. All tor exit nodes are known. Amazon def checks if youre using one to browse/purchase and for that reason flag it as suspicious. Is that fine? or what am I supposed to do?The objective Is to completely disassociate your details from previous accounts. "Street" and "St" are Interpreted In the same fashion, so It makes very little to no difference. A mismatch of Information triggers their anti-fraud system, hence requires the account to be verified. (06-12-2022, 10:45 PM)Ke__ Wrote: Thanks for all your help so far. You're welcome. What's the best way? RE: AMAZON MULTIPLE SEs - mothered - 06-14-2022 (06-13-2022, 09:27 PM)Ke__ Wrote: What do others normally do if they only have 1 available address? And if so, will the eb method still work? |
