Apple IPhone 13 Pro Max Service Repair ( Dry Ice) - Specialbrewmike - 06-08-2022

I got a serial number off ebay for an iPhone 13 Pro Max that was under warranty and registered a repair.

They sent me the returns box.
I Filled it with dry ice just over the weight of the phone.
I rushed to post office and sent it off.
Now been a week or 2 and there weren't any updates.
But now I got an email stating the repair was cancelled.
I get back in touch and ask what the issue is and if its because I have to pay for the repairs because I'm still under warranty..

Advisor tell me she can't see any information but to resolve the issue I need to talk to the dedicated team who deal with repairs who are not avaliable at the moment.

Should I try chat early in the morning?

Any advice or should I just grow some balls and take the call?

Bit nervous considering I never logged into my apple I'd or anything on the phone haha

Good chance you’re burned but take the call anyway because if you don’t you’d never know how to SE your way out next time. This is how you gather intel and figure out why they cancelled

Where are you located? Did they tell you which team?

UK and no all they said was its a team dedicated to deal with queries related to repairs

The package weight was well within then genuine weight, and i put a few tears etc in parcel.... what could be the problem?

No.

A warranty claim covers all costs of a faulty product.

I have been  on the phone tonight with apple it got escalated to higher teams twice, they asked me to send my proof of postage and proof of receipt to them from courier...

I supplied both and it got escalated to a higher team again who questioned me a lot, asked me if i was the first owner of this phone to which i said yes thinking i would make an invoice for POP (i think i shouldn't have) they told me there is a repair history with this phone do i know anything about it i said no... at this point she is asking me again are you sure your the first owner of this phone again i had to say yes rather thank change story...

she tells me the package was empty with no signs of tampering although i did make it look tampered with....

she asked where i bought it i told her CEX as this shop sells used and refurb goods is UK ( IF ANYONE HAS A CEX  INVOICE EMAIL OR RECIEPT PLEASE FORWARD IT IT ME )

she quoted well that dont sound like one of our authorised resellers..

Now i have to send her my proof of purchase by tomorrow from CEX but cant find any receipt or invoice i can edit for said store ......


Someone please help or give advice here as i s**t a brick and dont know if i should follow up or not hahahaha first time doing this

Order something from CEX now and edit the legit invoice into one that will suit your needs

I just made one will be different to there originals but do you think apple will know this?
All detail in receipt are genuine and from an actual receipt but a store receipt not an online invoice
