Virtual phone number patched? - completedipshit - 06-07-2022

Recently I've been unable to get an order through on some online stores when trying to use a virtual phone number provider like Google voice.

My suspicions were confirmed today when I tried to make a target account with a google voice number and it literally said "Please enter in a valid phone number".

Obviously, protecting my identity when SEing is a huge priority, but it seems pretty challenging nowadays to even get an order through without a legit phone number.

Are you not placing legitimate orders?

Have you tried the following services?

Burned seems to work pretty well.
I'm still getting orders cancelled a lot lately, but lowering the amount I'm ordering tends to help with that.

Just as a matter of Interest, what's their reason for the cancellation?

usually something really vague like we cannot verify your payment method.
One time I called a rep to ask whats up, but it was like my 3rd cancelled order to the same address.
She asked like "do you have another phone number you use?"
I said no, and she was just like yeah we can't verify it.

Really suprised to hear that.

I wish I could say more but don't know much more.

There's definitely a mismatch of Information, hence transactions are declined.

In terms of the phone number, It sounds like they've Identified It as a virtual number, thereby It cannot be verified against your credentials - which Is why she asked whether you have another number In use.
