Getting Legit (Or nor) Refund on Perfectly Good Macbook - Turbando - 06-07-2022

So, yesterday the new macbook air was announced, and I really want to get it, I have an M1 Air already and it's a fucking beast, but anway, could I tell Apple it's fucked and get a refund on it?
Alternate plan would be to tell apple it caught on fire and get a replacement and sell both?

Hey, I am also interested in trying to cop one of these. I've heard of a lot of success with people EB'ing Apple atm, but think the macbook is too heavy for that to be a viable option.

Obviously, if you already have a macbook with s/n, I'm sure you're aware of the methods available to you to get another one Smile. If so, would you plan to sell them both and purchase the new one?

If you plan to SE the new device, I would say that DNA is probably your best option, but I think they will be very adamant that you sign or they get a picture. I dislike using DNA for ethical reasons, so If I attempt it I will likely say that the battery was leaking on arrival and I had to dispose of it etc...

If you still have a warranty, maybe try to see if there is a weakness in the terms and conditions so you can get a legit refund. I did that years ago with my PS3 to get a refund to buy a PS4, by just saying that a controller didn't work anymore.

It's very likely they'll request the return and remain adamant, so be prepared for a lengthy claims process.

I have recently had success doing this method (disposed of faulty item) with Best buy, ended up working for a macbook. Their team is pretty lazy. I recently tried it at walmart too but didn't have success
