I got a business sn for a Surface book 3 15”. That the screen went dead on. Asked MS what the problem could be. Acted as I had no knowledge of computers and got this reply:”

I have a generated SN that somehow worked. So I wont provide them with that. What should I reply? They wanted me to run some log program but how I am supposed to do that if the screen is dead?
