Amazon EB Refund - satsuma - 06-05-2022

I'm planning on buying a computer part from amazon.
I've bundled other less expensive but relevant items so that they ship in one box.
The sum cost of all items is about 450GBP
The item I wish to refund is just over half of the total cost above.
Will EB work and have a high chance of success?

I planned on saying that all other items were in the box but not the item I want to refund (hence EB).
Weight of all items 1kg and 43.5g
Item I wish to refund is 40g making an insignificant impact on weight therefore they should say that the box weighed the correct amount (I assume 40g out of over a kg is a small percentage).

I would like to add:
My account is ~3 years old, many legit purchases with one refund of an item over a year ago which cost a very small amount.
I won't even consider DNA as the value implies a OTP to be used upon delivery.

It's an SSD I'm guessing?

It'll work absolutely fine, the amount isn't too high and the weight so low, just stick to your story and you'll be fine

Thanks for the input!

Relatively new C.P.U.

Also, one more thing, is a phone call preferred over text chat with Amazon support? Or either the same?

Both work well if executed well.
If you know how to react or SE via phone, it might has a slight advantage.

Unrelated, I've ordered the items. They look to be separate orders but I've selected to have them delivered on the same day, does this guarantee that they are delivered on the same day?

Not always.

Shipment delivery schedules are subject to change.

EB is fine up to 250€ even on fresh accounts. Their support is allowed to refund it on their own without contacting their special department.

I may need some help. It could possibly be that these orders do not arrive together. In which case I can't claim empty box unless I say the part wasn't in the box. But that is hard to believe as the chance a part is not placed in a box/or stolen from a box is low. Do you have suggestions if this 40g part arrives on its own to get a refund? Thanks.

EB should work regardless if it's in the same parcel or not based on the weight. There's a reason why so many SE are successful for light items like airpods based on the same principle.

Amazon are weird even when multiple items arrive at the same time they have their own box anyway more often that not. It's really rare in my experience for everything to arrive in one parcel.

So to be clear, for an EB claim. I should state that the parcel did not contain the item at all, or should I claim the item's box was in the parcel but the item was not to be found in it's box. Thanks in advance.

Also, the item is worth just shy of £300, will this effect the claim also and lead to an investigation making it harder?
