Dell Monitor SN Replacement - xdbvu9eg - 06-05-2022 I have opened an advanced replacement with Dell after routine photoshopping/phone call with CS. I now have to decide whether to inform CS of the faulty item disposal before or after shipping of the replacement. If I attempt it before shipping, there is a chance that the replacement is cancelled as a matter of policy before the ship date. Alternatively, I can wait for shipping and/or collection of the replacement, then appeal to support with the leverage of the replacement in hand. Currently, I intend to wait for the replacement to ship/arrive because I suspect that support won't be inclined to allow an $800 dollar replacement to ship without a return, regardless of the reasoning. I have also seen similar Dell monitor SEs succeed this way. I would appreciate opinions from anyone experienced with this type of process. RE: Dell Monitor SN Replacement - K03NT3S31N - 06-05-2022 Are you SE'ing DELL with your real personal information or are all identifiable information fake (fake name, drop adress etc.)? Real address. Dell has asked for an in person collection so my regular drop address is unsuited. I have not yet informed CS of the disposal. They required photos of the item not working in the claims stage to process the replacement. Would you advise waiting for the replacement to arrive before informing support of disposal? When informing CS of the faulty item, I will emphasise the health and safety aspect of the disposal (electrical hazard). Is there anything else I should try to get across, or is it simply better to remain straightforward and avoid emotional appeal. If need be, you can add other events as developments unfold during the course of the claim's assessment. |
