Sometimes I order fake IDs online for my friends who don't want to do it themselves. I pay the people in crypto when I order them. I am curious if anyone knows if I am breaking a law by ordering fake IDs and not receiving one myself.

Depends entirely on your locality. Some states it is a misdemeanor or punishable by warning, whereas others it is a felony.

Agreed. The seriousness of the crime, and therefore the severity of the punishment, will change based on region/locality. Research your local laws for this.

in my country your are doing even worse. they don't care if you are just the connection, for them you get punished like the vendor.
