Amazon - Should I similar item a 3080ti? - kyyyaaaa - 05-24-2022

Listed for $1200, I'd replace it with my 1080ti (wasn't ordered from Amazon). The weight isn't exactly the same as far as I know, but should be close.
I've done the similar item method with two $600~ orders in the past, one a year ago and one about 6 months ago, but I've spent about $1000 legitly in the past year.
Account is from 2016 and I've only returned about 3 cheaper items since then.
I'm assuming worst case they just have me pay in full for it and I lose my 1080ti & account, but is that likely?
Package will likely be delivered to the apartment's office, but I've gotten $200 items delivered to my door.
Thanks, I'm a noob (:

(Read some more, would it be better to DNA if I don't have to OTP? Or is it better to do wrong item received regardless? I've done wrong item received in the past for my $600~ returns.)

I'm looking for a GPU so I'm also interested in what advice you get for this.

I think DNA is always 'best' in terms of success/risk, however at that price I think it's almost guaranteed you'll get a OTP.

You'd probably be better to use a different SE approach then. Probably the sealed box method. If they 'catch' it, there's always excuses you can use.
But again interested to see what others suggest.

It has a poor success rate.

As of late, Amazon Is very meticulous with checking open box returns. They'll most likely dispose of It, and ask for the correct Item be returned.

Any legit purchases recently?

Will the consignment be signed for?

Interesting, from what I've read, Amazon will likely just ban me &/or deny the return?

I've purchased about $300 in stuff recently. I also made a legit $220 purchase, but it'll arrive after the fact unfortunately.

I don't know honestly, probably not as Amazon never mentioned that my past returns were signed for. Both of the packages arrived @ the apartment office, while my recent $200 purchase arrived at my door.

Most likely only the latter.

The former purchase Is good enough to provide some credibility on your account.

If you can establish the type of verification (If any) on delivery, we can make an Informed decision on the DNA.

I don't believe a signature was ever required for any delivery as it was never mentioned. I guess for now we will just have to wait and see, it will arrive Saturday, I'll update then. I appreciate your feedback a lot. (:

If you can purchase it from abroad (like you're in germany and use amz.fr) you might be able to skip the OTP and hit them with a DNA

Doubt they'd ban you. DNA sounds tricky given the price, however your Amazon account seems to be in good standing. You'd be relying on luck, rather than a full plan. How similar do the items look?

Late update: Delivery driver delivered the item in front of my apartment complex OUTSIDE, no OTP. Did the DNA method, contacted Amazon support and they just had me wait like 3 weeks through multiple communications and gave me a full refund after my 4th contact with them. I got extremely lucky as it was a $1300 refund.

Perfect DNA material.

The driver should've ensured the package was accepted by the recipient, but he obviously didn't - which contributed to the SE's success.
