Is this refund possible - itstoar - 05-22-2022

Hello, for context I only have 1 previous order on this account, an SSD worth around $200 that was refunded through DNA in https://walmart.com

Using Walmart again, I ordered a laptop (total came to about $470, 6lbs in package) and it's being shipped through FedEx, scheduled to come earlier actually (tomorrow) when it was initially scheduled to come a couple days after.

Is this refund possible? When I check the tracking link it says Indirect Signature required as well as not being able to opt out of it as usual. No idea how to pull of FTID either. Currently live in the US. Also to note that it's shipped and sold by Walmart.

How long ago was this?

Also, you should've made at least one legit purchase prior to attempting another SE.

The delivery can be fake signed.

Based on the Information above, the DNA Is well-suited. However, you've already hit the DNA, hence It's not good practice to use the same method In succession. Alternatively, the wrong Item received or the sealed box method can be used.

Hello,
I actually dmed you about this to gain input without having to make a thread, if you see it please ignore it. Thanks a lot for your response here.

Unfortunately, if I use the wrong item method, chances are they'll have me return said incorrect item. Not only is that not possible for me right now, I just feel like that'd end badly.
The circumstances stated previously also will not allow me to perform the sealed box method.

With those two out of the picture, am I just out of luck here?

Also, to answer your question, the first order that was DNA'd was early March of this year.

Understood.

Why not?

It was over 2 months ago, so It can still be used as a last resort.

To perform the sealed box method, from my understanding, I also have to make a return in hopes of the company accepting the SE, after I carefully take out the product (showing no signs of tampering) and replace it with an item of similar weight. This will make it so they just take the SE without questions correct? They'll assume that the box was never even opened to begin with and just keep it moving.

But yes, I am not able to make any returns to FedEx as of this moment, I have a bit of a unique situation that prohibits me from doing so, so yep that's that. I guess I'll have to either hire some professional refunded to see what they or just try out DNA one last time. I'm not too sure on the limits of Walmart for DNA however, or if I should switch the story up. Thanks for your help

Update: package just came and I was not aware, but my mom actually ordered a package from Walmart as well. How will this affect my DNA and does this raise chances of success? My dad signed for the package, I have no idea if both packages required a signature but he only signed once. I would've signed for it myself but I was in the shower when it happened.

Correct.

It appears to be a legit return - untouched In Its manufacturer's state.

Did both packages arrive at different times?

Which package did he sign?

Both packages arrived at the same time on the same truck, and he signed for my package. He had both packages in hand when he knocked on the door apparently.

Both packages were on the same consignment, hence only one signature was required.

Then you'd need to DNA both.

It's not possible that two packages were delivered simultaneously on the one consignment and personally handed to the recipient, but only one arrived.

RE: Is this refund possible - itstoar - 05-22-2022

I have no idea whether or not my mom's package needed a signature.

I have no idea how signing for FedEx works, whether or not they actually have to scan the barcode on the package for it to be signed for in the first place, or just pressing the package they're dropping off on their scanner.

Some things to note:
On the FedEx tracking page for my package, it shows my step dad's signature and the first letter of his name as well as his last name.

Although my stepdad signed for the package, he and I do not have the same last name because my mom remarried. For the possibility that my mom's package did not require a signature, is it possible to try and claim this was a bug in their system? Since both packages came at the same time, there may have been the possibility of MY package being mistakenly signed for, despite not even being there. Since both packages came in different boxes this may be possible? I'm not too sure. Let me know your thoughts. I appreciate your help.

RE: Is this refund possible - itstoar - 05-22-2022

As a last resort, I might hire someone from forums to do an FTID service for me or just return the laptop to get a refund and try to hit another site. My gut feeling tells me that DNA won't work as smoothly as last time given the different circumstances, but I also know that the FTID method is extremely flawed and comes down to luck at the end of the day (correct me if I'm wrong.)

It may be too much to ask for, but what would you do in this situation? Do you believe this refund is possible?
