CEX warranty replacement - _Kenzo_ - 05-18-2022

Hi guys. New here, been soaking up a lot of info last few days and I'm looking to start small with some SE's before moving to the bigger DNA's.

I was wondering about the effectiveness of using a product I already own under warranty to claim a replacement and using a disposal or box method for the 'return'.
However I realised it might be a waste of a perfectly good warranty which I may legitimately need.

But this turned my attention to CEX. I have 2x16gb RAM sticks which are coming very close to the end of their 2 year warranty and I love a free upgrade to 4 sticks.
Would I be good to raise a complaint stating they're dead, and if they require a return just using the box method?

Furthermore, I don't think I'd be looking to use them for other SE's as they use Royal Mail which would make DNA a pain and they have CCTV for EBs.
So I was thinking it could be a good use of a claim without 'wasting' my account seeing as I probably wont ever SE them anyway.

Thoughts?  Smile Thanks in advance.

Do exactly that.

What's their combined weight?

Approximately 36-40g, according to google (don't wanna power off to unplug and check them haha)
So that's definitely light enough to warrant an empty boxing method, correct?

Correct, they're certainly light enough to box the company without substituting the weight.

That's an awesome idea, might steal that and use it myself, I think my 2 years warranty is almost over as well

@mothered So looking at their returns policy, they state they're not 'responsible for any damage or loss that happens in transit.'

Would the box method still work? Technically the delivery won't be lost, just the item after it arrives. I spose there's nothing to lost by trying.
I'm sure a lot of companies say this, but from experience, have you seen boxing methods still work even when this is in their policy?

The "loss" relates to both the package and goods, In your case, It's the Ram.

Yes I have experienced It a number of times.

Whether or not It works with this company, remains to be seen.

In the event the claim Is declined, as with every method, there's always a backup plan.

We shall await their reply.
