Email regarding “Wrong Item” Method order Amazon - johnnyboiog88 - 05-13-2022

I received this email in the early hours of this morning from Amazon

“Hello,
We are writing to let you know that we received a wrong item instead of the original item, in your return of order # XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. We confirmed the item from order # XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX  was in the box at the time it left our fulfillment center.

We expect and understand the occasional problem with a return. However, there have been repeated problems with returns on your account. We want to bring this to your attention because continued failure to follow our policies may result in you no longer being able to buy on Amazon.co.uk.

If your account is closed, any unused gift card balance will no longer be available.

You can review our return policies in the Returns, Refunds and Title section of the Conditions of Use, available at the link below:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=GKM69DUUYKQWKWX7

To appeal this decision, please reply to this email to reach an account specialist.”

I was just wondering if this signals any warning signs from my account it was sent from an email “buyer-returns@Amazon.co.uk”.

The only other problem I have had on this account with returns was when I sent back some RAM for a refund about 6 months ago and the item was legitimately stolen in transit.

This is why I don't recommend the wrong item method with Amazon. It might be my luck but it's failed more times than succeeded for me. Honestly I think the account specialists have broadened, my accounts were closed and the account specialist also sent it from a new email I've never seen before. I think fraud's just increased so much at Amazon they've got their specialists focusing on different shit. I wouldn't mess around with that account

I have contacted them saying that I did not receive the correct item and I am disputing the email as it said I could. I asked for them to supply evidence that it was in the box and shipped out to me and am remaining firm that I did not receive the item. I do not want to poke the bear too much, if they leave my account active and do not rebill I will be happy. It seems it is going that way anyway.

Also mention that their comment on repeated returns, Is not consistent with your account history.
