IP address - Itsit - 05-12-2022 I was wondering.. If I order from two different phones which is connected to the same WiFi. If companies were to track; would they see the same IP address or will they see the different phones IP address? Yes. Without internet RE: IP address - Nabeshin - 05-13-2022 If they are connected to the same wifi then they will have the same IP But an IP alone doesn't say much about multi account, think college dorms or schools or bars, everyone that uses the same wifi will end up with the same IP and it's gonna be a LOT of people RE: IP address - Defeat - 05-13-2022 (05-13-2022, 07:59 AM)Nabeshin Wrote: If they are connected to the same wifi then they will have the same IPWith my recent account closures, I'd have to say I agree. I don't think they close accounts based on IP alone, if at all. I don't think they close accounts based on IP alone, if at all. It's literally impossible to base any check on the IP alone You could ADD it to a list of other triggers, like: - browser cookies (very fingerprinty) - a whole lot of browser configs, like size, DPI and much more, read more here: https://csstracking.dev/ (also VERY fingerprinty, and this is just CSS without even using JS) - account info, including name, payment, address, etc Raise one or more flags and they're bound to check the IP too, but since a lot of home ISP give you a dynamic IP (and all the mobile phones plans as well) it's really the least useful check.. I just need to reboot my router to get a new IP, but everything else used to track me stay the same RE: IP address - mothered - 05-13-2022 (05-13-2022, 05:55 AM)Itsit Wrote:So both devices are assigned to a given carrier service?(05-13-2022, 02:59 AM)mothered Wrote:Quote:If I order from two different phones which is connected to the same WiFiWill both phones be connected to a cellular network? If they look it up, and it does match lets say an educational institution as stated by someone else its likely to pass. But if its labeled as residential, and there are similarities that would be a dead give away, and could get you banned. If you have a dynamic IP, just use MAC Address spoofing to cycle your IP, and use a browser that resets itself after every session this should keep you clean for the most part. |
