Hitting Zalando + Experiment - uknown_babe - 05-12-2022
Hi guys, so tomorrow I'm getting my 2-item package from Zalando. One item is around 120€ and it's super lightweight (like up to 10 grams without box). I'm planning on doing a partial method here.
With this thread I also want to do 2 small experiments:
1. Experiment: I want to find out, if Zalando keeps records of me somewhere in the back-end even in different countries - there is one country where they speak a similar language (but not English) and I wanted to hit that Zalando in that country as well. So tomorrow I'll try to call them in that different country, and ask them that I'm calling regarding one order on my name - and then I'll wait to see if they have the record of me or no. If they can't see the order, that opens a door for me to hit them again in their country. This could mean that they don't have a record of me in countries such as Germany and elsewhere where they are.
2. Experiment: I want to try "mind game" while on the phone. I want to kinda play it on "emotions".. That I'm leaving literally on a Sunday flight, and that I have no idea what to do. I want to press that customer service in a wy, that they refund me on spot. I mean, it'd be nice to just get a refund or something. Of course, I'll do it in a smart way. Will see how it works. I believe there is certain emotional/mental barrier that allows you to "bipass" even their rules. Like their rep will tell "fck it, give him that refund"... Now I don't mean with going with anger, but more like frustrated story-telling and playing with emotions.
Anyways, I have one more order on Monday but that's another story for different store.

I'm fairly sure they won't have access to that information. And even if they do that shouldn't prevent you from SEing them a second time as the chance they check for that is really non existant.

I mean they could. Potentially when doing second time SE - their rep could be like "lemme check this guy's account, or if he ever ordered from us" and bang, then he sees refunded one item. Again, I am not saying that it's their procedure, but I still think when it comes to SEing you need to include "Human factor". Maybe I'm just overthinking haha

When you say different countries, is it different domains, like zalando.de and zalando.com? Or same domain, different language settings?
Cause in the first case they surely can't see your data from a different domain, it most likely needs a different account to access the two

It's a completely different domain so yeah, as you mentioned I think they shouldn't know about me. But still.. want to see it just in case.

Received the order, and also signed the document.
I wanted to partial the necklace so I basically call them up right now and told them about it. They asked me if the package was damaged somehow and I said no. That I was even surprised by how well-packed it came (they started using similar package boxes as Amazon - you basically have to rip the whole side in order to open it.
She said she is so sorry and that she will look further into it and will email me.
One concern I have is that on the package is precise weight in KG - it's 0.601 KG Fck me guys.. I gues now it's just waiting game

Regarding that back end information, uuuf..
Just got on a live chat on different domain (Live chat because I wasn' able to dial their number, it would disconnect me), and asked some question about the order with number ##########. And so when I asked, they told me it's [Country] order, so talk to the team on different domain.. Seems like they have access to some kind of backend data.. exactly as I thought.
it could be maybe that they use different first initial numbers for each country - HOWEVER, it seems like they replied immediately that without hesitation.

A single gram will not Increment on shipping scales (If It did, your necklace would've been detected), so I'd say the figure was manually entered/typed Into the system. I do It often at work when the program fails to auto-calculate the weight.
