Bose SE failed? - gatescrusher - 04-28-2022
Is my SE a failure? I ordered 2 Bose soundbars and tried to SE the company. When I asked about the whereabouts of the refund, I received the following message from Bose:
"The shipments we received did not contain the expected Bose products. We will need a copy of your ID and proof of residency. You must also report any theft to the appropriate police department. You must provide us with the name of the officer in charge and a copy of the "report" issued by the police."
I then wrote that this is an impertinence. I would have returned everything lawfully. Why do I have to take action now?
In their reply they wrote:
"The shipments we received did not contain the expected Bose products. Therefore, a police investigation is required. It is therefore legally unavoidable that you as the sender arrange this. You must therefore file a theft report with the relevant police station, as you have properly shipped the goods.
For us, we need a copy of your ID card or proof of residence and the report to the police."
What should I do now? I would be very grateful for any help!

I used a box service. I don't know what they sent. They just said that I can contact Bose support after 21 days and ask where the refund is. I wanted to SE the Bose soundbar. Since I don't know exactly what was done with the box, I'm scared and don't want to fill out the PR. I have the feeling that the SE attempt has failed...
