Major Amazon SE Issues - contriveD - 03-31-2022 Hi, I've been experiencing major problems with an amazon SE on a relatives account. The payment won't go through. It gets declined every time by amazon, stating that the bank did not authorize the money to them. Of course, we have already tried multiple cards and bank accounts. This is what brings me to the assumption that Amazon refuses the payment because of the account. Given I'm located far away from the person in question, I have logged into his account on - a fresh device - with clean cookies - via VPN server located in the same city that he is in The item in question is over 2000USD, but we have tried a 1000USD item after getting payment declines many times. Same result. Do you think it is reasonable that amazon blocked the Account solely based on the new login (which was accepted via 2 factor auth)? What was also weird was that when I entered live chat on amazon (to ask why the payment is getting declined) the representative asked „am I talking to [name of acc owner]?“ at the start of the conversation. Have you experienced similar messages or might this further support the idea that amazon noticed that multiple people are in the account? Regards RE: Major Amazon SE Issues - Nabeshin - 03-31-2022 Amazon always asks if they're talking to the owner, that's standard practice About the payment refusal, have you tried a different card? Maybe it's really a bank issue RE: Major Amazon SE Issues - mothered - 03-31-2022 Quote:Given I'm located far away from the person in question, I have logged into his account onThere's a possibility that Amazon may believe the account has been compromised, hence they're not allowing transactions to go through. How did you respond to their question? We've tried different cards already. I've answered that I'm indeed the rightful owner and asked why the payment has been declined. The representative told me that the bank wants to get in phone contact with the card owner. The problem is that the card owner can't reach his bank. So we've tried another bank that he could reach and told them that they should let the payment through. That attempt got declined also. In the case that amazon prevents the payment from going through for security reasons, how would I approach to fix that issue? Can this „shadowban“ be waited out?
