Quote:Well i thought id just wait till i was tier 3 before posting tuts for fear of noobs failing and saturating them. So since i am t3 now i might as well post the companies i have SE'd and how i did so.
I must say that Altec was the easiest company ive SE'd.
You need to email their support at:
Customer.Support@alteclansing.com (Edited by darkred, that email you posted goes directly to the head of account services and he just forwards it to that address)
Tell them that one of the speakers is distorted and making irregular sounds BUT the others work. Ask them if they can help fix it NOT replace it.
They will then reply and ask you to run through a few checks and see if they made a difference.
Your reply of course is that you tried but unfortunately they did not work, and your thankful for the help (be nice)
They will say thanks for trying but its faulty so they will have to replace it, then will ask for your address and proof of purchase.
Give them an amazon PoP and they will ship it out.
Simple as that and no need for a serial!
I got this:
