Currys failed Ftid and now legit return might be lost? do i chargeback? - imjustme - 03-17-2022

I been doing this for a little time now just when i thought i got the hang of it, i got hit with this:

This been the craziest SE i have done so far.

I done ftid on order and somehow the empty parcel has went to original Address.(parcel was lost in transit just like i wanted and all of a sudden received email saying parcel delivered) i was shocked  Confused

I been refused for refund since the parcel came empty.

I decided to return in store but i was told to return it online.

I did return it online (been 10 days now) and for some reason it says delivered but its not scanned as I would've got my refund email by now.

When I called them AFTER the 2nd parcel was delivered, they said the last update we got is empty parcel received so the 2nd return is not acknowledged from their side.

I went to store to let them know what happened with 2nd return and lady spoke to colleague on phone and now he's saying they will be investigation for the legit return as they parcel might be missing.

Its large amount of money and I been waiting for 3 months since the whole process.

Do I do chargeback now? I never done chargeback as I don't know the odds of that succeeding.

I have tracking number for the 2nd return and it shows a picture of the driver putting the order in his truck on the carrier website.

Something telling me 10 days wait isn't enough, or should i wait longer? I'm becoming impatient a bit tbh

Am scared that the chargeback might side the retailers as they can keep on saying the first parcel came out empty and not even acknowledge the 2nd legit return.

Lastly, EVERYTIME i call them they tell me different stuff, one person told me (legit) return was received and the warehouse return pallets is too big so finding item and scanning will take time and next colleague goes and just refers back to original failed parcel saying ''last update parcel came empty''

this is why i would never return the original product if i fail a ftid or lit

you got bad luck that the Courier re label the package, that's why i rather use FTID3 than lit

Do cb and show your proofs (second tracking number)

Gotcha ya, thanks for your insight.

Just to clarify, I go to them and inform them what happened and show them the evidence. How long do they usually take to solve this you reckon?

Yeah, i was shocked that they even found the parcel after their investigation.

I'm not familiar what Ftid 3 is tbh.

FTID3 means rerouted to a different address, the merchant would not get it but it will be delivered.

Cb takes time, when i did rep of the bank call me and she told me to tell her the complete history and send the proofs to her mail. She helped me a lot because she believed me.

Do not give up, even you are doing cb process u keep pushing reps with your second return

Was the tracking number and/or barcode Intact?

If so, the delivery would've been based on Its consignor & consignee details.
