Can I carry out SE on e.g. Iphones in store. Buy it, take home , do sealed box method and bring it back?

You can but, as stated in this forum previously, try to do your return when it's closing time and/or crowded so they won't have time to do a through check

As @Nabeshin mentioned above, return It when they're Inundated with customers just before close of business. Analyze the employees at the customer service counter, and select the one who seems most vulnerable to manipulation/exploitation.

As @Nabeshin mentioned above, return It when they're Inundated with customers just before close of business. Analyze the employees at the customer service counter, and select the one who seems most vulnerable to manipulation/exploitation.

Do I really have a choice if there is a queue? Surely I will have to go to the next available person

When social engineering, be sure to use your manipulative tactics accordingly. It's not hard to think outside the box.

Pretend you're looking for the receipt, and simply allow the person behind you to go first. If need be, repeat It until the employee In question Is available. It took me 4 seconds to come up with this approach.
