Anyway to save this SE? - harr.yx - 03-08-2022

hey guys, I recently did a SE on amazon, claiming an empty box on a £250 SSD drive, ive spoken to 2 live chat reps and a phone call with one staff member and im instantly told to submit a police report, looks like a basic copy and paste message, tried saying that why would I need a police report for EB etc and they said the item is weighed and processed at the warehouse before sending, anyway to save this?

What's the precise weight of the SSD?

It's a fairly reasonable request from Amazon, they aren't accepting fault. You could file the report and give Amazon the report ID, and see what they say next. They do this because it immediately scares off anyone trying to refund because they hear Police and get spooked. Otherwise if you paid with plastic you could call your plastic issuer and say you never got the item you purchased and they would be obligated by law of the Zero Liability Policy to either look into it for themselves or just reverse the charge . All things considered they'll likely just reverse it because it's not a lot of money.
