Apple AirPods Gen 3 (S/N) SE attempt - Topwastaken - 03-03-2022

Managed to snap a gen 3 serial contacted apple told them it didn’t work . Everything went well there sending me a box . What should I do now I don’t want to ftid because I’ve had my own bad experience with it and was wondering if I just cut the box slap a piece of tape and ship the nothing if it’ll work

Precisely.

The AirPods are light enough to not register a weight on consignment, so you can box them as stated.

Thank you for your input I will do as stated how do you believe I should cut the box I was thinking of cutting the back long rectangle on 3 pieces so it creates a flap and slapping tape over it or is that to much work in your opinion

Don't overdo It, otherwise It will be noticed at the collection point and release the driver (or whoever Is handling the shipment) from liability.

Cut It on the underside of the box, and just enough to demonstrate the contents have been taken.

So maybe cut a little square where the AirPods would be and a x on the bottom of the big box and put two pieces of tape

I've tried the SN method myself with apple directly but the rep just asked me to go to a local store and get them serviced. How did you manage to bypass that and just get sent a box?

Tell them that the local store refused to help and told you to deal with Apple.

Also, what exactly did your SE Involve?
