I've been waiting months for this! I stopped playing EOC 1 week ago and said i'll wait till RS3 comes out. I'm so keen for this.

RS3 Is nothing but a copy of the current EoC update and some new fancy interfaces.

Call of Duty is just the same thing basically over and over again, from my perspective anyways, yet they still get a large fan base.

But that is Call of Duty, a 3D FPS, RuneScape gets bored if they re-do it all over. At Call of Duty you can play Campaigns etc.

You kind of lost me here. Elaborate a bit more please?
Campaign, Spec Ops, and Zombies all get boring. The only good part that keeps people still playing Call of Duty is the online multiplayer, which obviously RuneScape offers since you need internet connectivity to actually play the game in general.
