Swindler/Con artist groups - ManakaJunpei - 02-14-2022
Been trying to find good examples of real life con artist groups / swindlers but all I seem to be able to find is either company fraud/investment fraud or the usual phishing scams
Wonder why there are so little examples of successful con artist groups who tricked people in other ways rather then the usual ways, do you think it's because they aren't being caught as often? And secondly would be nice to see if you guys have any examples that might seem different than others (more creative etc)

Not sure if you dabble into Anime sometimes but if you do, I think you'd like "Great Pretender" it's on Netflix and about social engineering/swindling

I get the feeling it's more common for these types to work solo. These sorts of characters prey on naivety/desperation. After all, wouldn't a group just take turns conning each other?
