I have an SE question/scenario. - DrangBrang - 01-29-2022

Lets say I want to SE a company and get a free phone, how would I go about this (and yes I am a beginner. The only thing I ever got from my SE skills were a decent set of headphones, and a sweater)?

My goal is to give as minimal information as possible. I don’t want to buy something then put in a refund request and do any of that. Would it be possible to gain a product by email alone (Of course I would have pictures of that product [These pictures would be my support. Its like saying, “as you can see, I have the product in my hands!” when In reality, I don’t!])?

do you think its possible to do so without paying for the product at all?

I believe that is the point of the serial number method. Obtain a serial number somehow by looking at eBay listings or someone may be selling a S/N then go from there.

Ohh i see. I got confused at first because i saw mothered said something like anonymize payment option and stuff like that. Thank you for the clarification!(you can tell ima fail...but hey this is learning)

That's the objective of the serial number method - obtain a serial that's still under warranty, and claim a refund on that.
