Looking to SE Amazon.it, OTP is required, what are my options? - Nabeshin - 01-28-2022

As per title, I'm looking to get a new GPU (and you know how expensive those are), shipped but not sold by Amazon.it is my best option as of now but I'm open to other shops suggestions as well

I was thinking of doing DNA, I did it once before (6 or so months ago) but now they want an OTP on delivery so maybe I'm out of luck?

What would you guys recommend in this situation? What's the easiest/safest option?

Edit: there are also, as of now, a couple warehouse items, "in the original box, box will be damaged", if I were to get one of those would I be able to claim there was a wrong / different item in the box and return an old GPU inside it?

I'm also eyeing Stockx, but they want an affidavit in case I claim a lost package, I'm guessing that's a big no as well?

If you're referring to Amazon Warehouse Deals, Amazon are pretty meticulous with these types of claims.

All goods are checked using a 20-point quality Inspection prior to dispatch. As such, they'll Immediately Identify It's not their Item, and request the correct one be returned.

Ah, sucks, I thought returns weren't checked (and that's why SB methods work)
What would you suggest? What's a safe method from a safe store for someone who's looking for an easy DNA or similar (I'd skip the dry ice or FTIDs methods, for example)? Unfortunately being from .it leaves out a lof of US-only options

My best account would be amazon.it, Prime customer and it's half a dozen years old at the very least, but it does require an OTP now
I'm checking amazon.de, same login, never ordered anything on it tho, no OTP

Aside from that, my Paypal account is also quite aged and with barely any dispute on it (none I can remember actually) so wherever PP is accepted would be fine too

Think amazon.de would be a tough one, for a 2k€ DNA? the amazon courier (well, 99% of the couriers nowadays) just ring my doorbell, i open the condo main door and he drops the package in the staircase, so not right out of my door, there's other people living here.. a couple times, when I wasn't home, they even called me and I remotely opened the main door for them to drop the package, never signer or anything

So the fact that I allowed him to drop the package in the main staircase instead of telling him to wait for me to come down isn't a fault on my side? As if, I accepted that delivery as is?
I was actually thinking of either not answering the doorbell but just opening the main door, so it could've been any other condo resident who did that, or send my girlfriend down without answering the doorbell and taking the package saying she'll put it inside the main door for me to pick it up when I'm home (obviously not disclosing her identity) but maybe this one is overkill

What kind of investigation should I expect from a 2k€ DNA on amazon.de? I think I'll place the order today anyway, but any extra help is welcome

Edit: in case I get it from the german website, think they'll require me to know german to fix the issue, or will there be someone english-speaking on the chat support (that's how I always contact them)?

The only thing you should be focusing on with the DNA In every SE, Is the driver either leaving the package unattended, or signing with a fake signature by using a name that has no association whatsoever to yours.

Unless the rep Is brain-dead and approves It with very little to no questions asked, expect a lengthy claims process with a high probability of filing a PR.
