Walmart SE Experience - deston24 - 01-27-2022 Went for the EB method on a very light $400 item. Was told their refund option was not working because of it being a high value item and was told the only way to resolve was CC dispute. People saying they're kinda dead and I can see why. That's what I was curious if others were facing the same dilemma as me or to learn something that might give them the opportunity to refund. Item was sold and shipped by Walmart as well. I pressed that they need to resolve it and not my CC company but they would not budge. They have no right to suggest a chargeback via your credit card provider. That's your payment system, and your choice to pursue that path. Request your claim be escalated. Ended up doing the chargeback which at first was successful and I thought that was it. I ended up getting rebilled and was shown all the supporting documents saying my package was received that the Walmart billing team provided. Called them and was told since the box showed as weighing .6 pounds when leaving that their responsibility was over since I signed for it (which I did as I was pursuing EB method) My question: This CPU was as light as I could possibly imagine but since a weight (even if it was .6 pounds) existed before leaving their facility, they said they have no reason to believe it wasn't in the box upon delivery, how would you proceed successfully? After I believed this SE to be a failure I called their general support to get the chat logs of them telling me to issue a chargeback but when prompted by the automated system, it asked me if I was calling about the CPU I was attempting to SE, I said yes and the automated system apologized I hadn't received it and offered me replacement or refund, I say refund and within a minute I had an email telling me the issue had been issued. I suppose a rebill counts as not delivered in their system and the automated system couldn't tell. While I have the email saying the refund was issued I won't believe it until I see it in my account but will report back if/when that happens. What has a package that's marked as delivered/received, got to do with claiming the Item was missing In the package Itself? As such, It Is their responsibility for failing to pack and send your purchased Item. Did they conclusively confirm that the CPU Itself was In the box prior to dispatch? Did they check the condition of the package with the carrier at the time It was handed to you? I'm not targeting this at yourself, but rather the questions I'd be asking (to start off with) If I was In your position. Based on your replies to my questions, it seems I should have claimed the CPU was missing from the CPU box as I claimed and told them nothing was in the box at all. Are both claims successful? With packages this light is there more success from a completely empty box claim or claiming the CPU is missing from the CPU box in my delivery? Thanks RE: Walmart SE Experience - mothered - 02-20-2022 (02-20-2022, 11:09 AM)deston24 Wrote: Refund hit my account today, couldn't believe it honestly. As per their reply below, on what grounds did they approve the claim? They were quite adamant that the CPU was delivered correctly. I called their general support line and the automated system asked if I was calling about my CPU order, I said yes and the automated system apologized as it showed undelivered and asked if I wanted a refund or replacement as I'm assuming the rebill is coded as an undelivered order but the automated system doesn't know the difference. So no one approved my claim, the automated system granted me my refund which has already hit my account. There's no more active investigations or really any reason anyone should look at my claim again. At the end of the day It succeeded, and that's all that matters. Have you received confirmation that your case has been closed? |
