MacBook Pro SE - Amazon FR - nafaxy - 01-14-2022

Hi everyone,

I know, and read the different threads about MacBook Pro SE. However, I am a student, ready to take some risks, but I want to make sure I stack all the odds in my favor.
Therefore, here is the plan:

My 2017 MacBook Pro (1.37kg) died. It does not power on. Nothing. As a student, you can imagine the cost of replacing it. I am using an old computer but I really need a new laptop. Long story short, here is my plan:

I really would like to have the new MBP (14-inch) with the notch, if possible with the M1 Pro CPU. My amazon account is 3 years old but I never ordered expensive items (mostly books, and small other products) and I can use virtual CC.

Therefore, I want to order it on Amazon, try the DNA method, but I am not sure of the validity of this method for this type of item. Does anyone know the chance of success?
Similarly, I do not know the procedure about the signature right now, if I sign with another name, would it be valid to ask for a refund?

If these technics are not successful, I would like to use the sealed box method with my old MacBook Pro. Considering that it weight 1.3kg and the new one weight 1.6kg, would it work?

Also, how hard is it to seal it again?
Do you have some training technics?

Thank you for your help!

Has there been Inconsistencies/suspicion raised on the account with refunds or otherwise, at any point?

Find out whether an OTP will be required on receipt of goods.

300 grams Is too much of a variance.

Try and match the weight as close as possible.

Not difficult.

You're not working on a schedule, so take all the time you need to flawlessly reseal It.

No. I had one item (30€) replaced by the supplier directly (Anker) because it stopped working during guarantee, but it was sent by the company directly.

After checking Amazon French website, it appears that they ask one for "high-value items". After reading online reviews, the delivery guys are not always asking it though...

what do you suggest I put on to add weight? Would it be the best and secured method?

Thank you very much for your help Smile

Play It by ear for now.

In the absence of an OTP, you can DNA It.

If It's the sealed box method, It's based on the grounds that the box will not be opened and placed back Into stock.

As such, anything can be added to match the weight.
