Quote:the issue is that it's going to be delivered by most likely the government post office
What type of verification will be required on receipt of goods?

99% sure it’ll be a signature, they never do OTP.

If only a signature Is required, you're good to go with the DNA.

Be sure the fake signature Is somewhat legible/readable. As such, the name will not be associated to yours, hence It wasn't "you" who signed the delivery. It could've been the carrier driver - which Is quite common among many services.

I'm just kind of scared because the delivery is by the government, what if he comes back to me or starts some case or some shit lmao. He comes to me and accuses my of lying or whatever
You reckon Amazon will even start an investigation? I have probably a bit over 1k spent on it

He has no right to question you, nor are you obligated to explain yourself to him.

The nature of the DNA method, triggers an Investigation a lot more often than not.

Thanks, i'll let you know how it goes. I was thinking of a few other methods:
Wrong Item [ Although I don't think I could pull this off because what excuse could I come up with that's somewhat believable]
COVID? Saying it doesn't work but I'm COVID positive so they might tell me to keep it
Say its broken and I want a refund, a week or two later ask where is the money and keep claiming I sent it back
Also if you miss the delivery they leave you a letter telling you to collect it so I think they're strict about this shit
Thanks for helping my dumbass out btw <3

Please do.

You simply received an Incorrect Item to what was originally ordered.

That's how the wrong Item received method works with every company.

Unlikely, but still a possibility.

They'll ask for tracking details to confirm the consignment.

Even so, It depends how the package Is handed over to you at the collection point.

For Instance, If an ID Is required and they only "look at It", as opposed to taking a copy, you're good to go - It was handed to the wrong person.

You're welcome.

What would you do in my position? DNA?
I also thought about getting my dad or sister to collect it and then say they broke it and it wasnt me that signed for it. Or say that my dad collected and sold it cuz he doesn’t like me spending money or something. Although this might be flawed because it might come out as if he “stole” it technically since he signed for something that’s not his?
I also don’t understand how wrong item would work because don’t they just buy the product off logitech for a discounted price and just resell it? they wouldn’t open the box I assume?

As stated, It depends on this:

What's the purpose of this approach?

If you're going to claim It's broken, the Item Is obviously within your possession, so I don't see how a denial of signature Is relevant.

Disregard It.

It's unnecessarily complicating the SE.

The wrong Item Is purchased from the same company on a different account, and delivered to another address.

When they request the return, send the wrong Item. They'll scan It, see that It's part of their Inventory and assume the Incorrect Item was mistakenly dispatched. A refund/replacement will be Issued thereafter.
