Broken-bottle SE - m1ndful - 01-11-2022 Hey there, I've been planning to pull of the broken bottle method for this relativly cheap fragrance I like. It's about 75USD and was purchased from an online perfume shop. I just recieved their package and this fragrance was wrapped in bubble wrap ALOT. Around 5 layers I would say and then it still comes in a box which protects the flacon again. It seems VERY unlikly that it would break. Would this be detrimental for my attempt? I'm guessing it could also have broken on the way from the manufacturer to the company. Should I go ahead with the claim? Best Regards EDIT: The SE succeeded. I sent them a picture of the broken bottle alongside with a personal note and got offered a replacement or refund right away. How I got the picture you may ask? I extracted the fragrance into another bottle and smashed the original bottle myself, as I didn't like the flacon anyways. This should be a very safe way to execture this method, especially for beginners. RE: Broken-bottle SE - mothered - 01-11-2022 Quote:this fragrance was wrapped in bubble wrap ALOT. Quote:Should I go ahead with the claimIt's a fact that glass Is susceptible to breakage, Irrespective of Its packaging, so you're good to go with the broken glass method.
