Amazon method - nightmare87 - 01-10-2022

I just got an ipad and a few accessories and was wondering the best updates method to use as it's got an otp either signature or a code which theyll email me about on the day of arrival

It would seem like boxing them with dry ice is a good idea. FIll the box with dry ice (1 or 2 ounces heavier than the actual item to be safe). Cut a hole the size of the item and reseal it with different colored tape. The point is to make it look like the item was tampered with and stolen, the dry ice will evaporate and leave no residue.
I haven't done this method much, so I'm sure @mothered can offer better advice than me.

Further to @"ballsinmyface445"'s post above (good thought), there are a couple more methods available.

The wrong Item received and (packaging compatibility) the sealed box method.

In a nutshell, purchase the wrong Item from the same company on a different account, and sent to another address.

When they request the return, send the wrong Item. They'll see that It's part of their Inventory and assume the Incorrect Item was dispatched and Issue a refund/replacement thereafter.

does the item have to be somewhat related to the item you ordered so say i got the package with the ipad and apple pen id say the ipad was missing then use a tablet as the wrong item

Although It's not a necessity, It's best that the wrong Item belongs In the same category as the original.

Picking and/or packing errors with an Item located In the same/nearby section of the warehouse, Is quite common.

In terms of cellular/Wi-Fi models, more often than not, the IMEI Is not placed In a pool of blacklisted numbers.

they’ve just replied with this
Hello,

I’m sorry to hear that you received WRONG ITEM instead of CORRECT ITEM. Since the correct item shows as delivered, we require a photo of the wrong item that was delivered by the carrier.

If you haven't done so already, please take a photo of the shipping label on the package, the wrong item received, the condition of the box, and any other barcodes that may be present on the wrong item received. Next, please e-mail the photos in .jpg file format to us at uk-deliveryinvestigation@Amazon.co.uk. Please note the e-mail must come from the e-mail address belonging to the account that made this order.

Please allow 3 days for us to review your photos. If you still haven’t been refunded for your order, please contact us again after 16 January 2022.
