HDD TO SSD HELP - bananagio - 01-05-2022
im a newbie to pc and hardware so i dont know shit about this but i bought this "custom built pc" from a company and back then i did not know any better and got a 1TB HDD
my computer has always been slow finding files and especially takes 5/10 minutes from start up to function because if i dont wait it will act slow asf
i always got the 100% disk usage probelm when i start it up
i figured switching to a SSD will help me
anyone can link me on how to connect / setup a SSD and how to trasnfer everything to it ?
also what SSD to get ?

I don't think I can recommend Western Digital to anyone anymore. I used to really believe in their products, but recently they've started becoming shadier and shadier. Instead, you should probably go for this SSD from Crucial.
As for drive cloning, I've used EaseUS Partition Master in the past, and gotten very good results. Unfortunately, their free trial has basically zero functionality. So you'll either have to buy it, or pirate it.
And for installing, you'll have to consult Youtube for that one. It's a very easy process though.

Do you know if the PC has an M2 slot on the motherboard? If it does, switching/inserting a new SSD is really easy (I recently did this myself on my laptop, took like 3 minutes to do the hardware switch & another 20 mins to install a new OS)

Google “ how to check motherboard model”, then try and search up the motherboard to find its spec
