DNA a ~1000EUR item ? - betalactame - 12-06-2021

I'm beginner into SEing, already made a thread two days ago. DNA is the simplest method overall but for some reason this is the one I have that bothers the most. I'd like to SE a 1000EUR camera lens with a clean Amz account. I choose this article because of its price and because it's pretty easy to sell, but it weigths 600 gr so EB isn't possible. Anyway, what irks me is that I'm afraid of having an OTP, or if the driver takes a picture of the delivery, something like that. How often is it common ? Does it depends of the price ? And about the OTP, can I see if I'm going to have one BEFORE I order the item ? I mean I just don't see how SE can work with "heavy" and pricy items. Wrong item is a possibility but I have to find a cheap article of the same weight, which is not easy... I'm a bit lost in this case.

Honestly, I'm not sure if DNA will work well. You could do a FTID instead since it makes it more legitimate, but since it's such a large ticket item, I think it may best if you avoided DNA. Then again, I'm fairly new to SE, but intuition lies with avoiding DNA for items > 200.
For OTP, you can reach out to customer support and look like a concerned customer wondering about the logistics of delivery of such a big ticket item.
Simply replacing the item with a similar item of similar weight could help legitimize any returns you may perform.
Hopefully that's of help, good luck!

As stated above, simply ask whether an OTP will be required on delivery.

Quote: if the driver takes a picture of the delivery
It cannot verify that "you personally received the package"[/quote]

It's not difficult to locate a stock Item of theirs.

Alternatively, If the box Is suitable, you can opt for the sealed box method.

Thanks to both, but aren't they going to find it suspicious if I ask them before if there's going to have a OTP, they say "no" and then I go for a DNA ?

Don't refer to the order on your account.

Contact them as though you're someone who's making a general enquiry for a future purchase.

Can you tell me more ? When the item I want to rf is for example 600g, I find it very hard to find another cheap article, of the same category (here, photography material) of the exact same weight.

Have you performed an In depth research with every listed Item?

It doesn't need to be precisely (for example) 600 grams - a 20 or 30 gram variance will suffice.
