adidas wrong item - jmewdscnt - 11-19-2021

Hey, so I recently got a pair of brand new Adidas shoes from eBay. I don't like them, but I've missed the chance to send them back. My plan is to buy another pair of shoes directly from Adidas, claim the wrong shoes were sent, and return the eBay shoes. Would this work? Thanks in advance

Stating the obvious, do Adidas stock the same pair of shoes?

Also, are there any Identifiable markings that may Indicate they belong to another seller?

They stock the same shoes, the only concern I would have is the barcode on the box. Could they use it to trace the mistake?

That's what I was referring to by Identifiable markings.

If It's been registered with the other company and they scan the return, they'd see It's not part of their Inventory, hence It'll conclude It doesn't belong to them.

Would there be a way around this? Could I remove the barcode from the box? Or claim that the wrong shoes had been inserted in the box?

Why not put the eBay shoes In the Adidas box and return It as such?
