Argos eBay UK Method? - GeorgeKaz - 11-10-2021 Hi all, I'm going to try Argos UK through eBay (paid for using PayPal). Any advice on the best method? I've ordered a drone (£419), delivered not collected (if you collect you can only return to the store in person). Any luck with DNA or EB? I'm not sure who Argos uses for their returns but I can try FTID too? I've done a few FTIDs before with great success. Also there's the option of a PayPal dispute if they don't refund, but what would the best reason be? Thanks Edit: I've returned an electronic item to an Argos store recently (genuinely) and they actually opened the sealed box to verify the serial number, I was amazed they'd ruin the packaging but they did... And wat did you do with the drone ? RE: Argos eBay UK Method? - mothered - 11-10-2021 Quote:Any luck with DNA or EB?What's the precise weight of the drone? Also, what type of verification will be required on delivery? RE: Argos eBay UK Method? - GeorgeKaz - 11-11-2021 The drone itself is 250g, then with the controller and packaging I'd estimate around 750g (but I'll weigh it when it arrives). Not sure about verification, I'll post again here when it's been delivered with the exact weight and verification. Thanks for the help Mothered. I tried Partial Box and claimed the ps5 itself wasnt there. Argos weren't having it and didnt even bother investigating, just kept palming me off and then eventually told me they wouldnt do anything, wouldnt even tell me why. It was really unusual and unprofessional system they have set up. I filed a chargeback with Revolut and Argos never even contested it and i got my money back. I'm hoping they give me a basic Royal Mail return label for returning it - if so I might FTID it. If they refuse, PayPal dispute incoming. RE: Argos eBay UK Method? - jscullion - 11-12-2021 Yeah i was on live chat and the phone about 10 different times and each person didnt have a clue what the last one did. I filed my dispute with revolut waited the time out and got it back. Not entirely convinced they have their act together RE: Argos eBay UK Method? - mothered - 11-12-2021 (11-11-2021, 11:59 PM)jscullion Wrote: I got a ps5 direct off Argos themselves. Under the circumstances you've described, they need to be pushed to their absolute limit, Inclusive of requesting the claim be escalated. |
