swapping products? - schni - 11-01-2021

Hi,

I've got a very specific question, more looking for some sort of advice on what my best bet is going forward.

I recently found an apple watch SE which has been locked and needs apple ID verification. Naturally, I want one that doesn't need activation so I went ahead and purchased one on amazon. My intention is to take out the new (unlocked) apple watch and put the old one in and then send it back. I'm returning the box with everything in it, obviously without the correct apple watch, but there still will be one. When I spoke with the agent, I told them I was having irritation with the rubber on the box and I am looking to return it. I have gotten a shipping label and everything, but I am nervous that they will know the swap that occurred.

Is there anything you would recommend me doing beforehand?
Do you think the returns facility will check the product and know it's not the same apple watch or am I anxious about nothing?

Given you've opened It, they may check to see If It's been returned In full/original condition.

You should've opted for the sealed box method.

Amazon handles products like shit, if they suspect something it's not like there will be any consequence against you. It may be worth trying.

How do you know it worked? Did you actually receive the funds back on your card or was it just an email confirmation? If I were you, I'd wait 1-2 weeks to see if they'll rebill you or limit your account before calling it a success

"Hello,

We are writing to confirm that we have processed your refund in the amount of CDN$ 745.79 for your Order xxxx-xxxx-xxxxx-xxx"

I mean, to me that sounds legit? No?
