PayPal Claim - Pudada - 10-22-2021

Okay, I’ve been doing SE’ing for a while without realising it was an actual thing 👀 my main way was always saying a few things were missing from parcels. I got too cocky with ASOS and they’ve linked all 3 of my accounts (stupidly used the same PayPal for them)

Anyway, one I have in dispute atm, after they blocked my ASOS account is a one where the DPD driver left the parcel in my porch, but luckily on the photo of the parcel DPD uploaded to their tracking, one side of the box is open - perfect for me, I let them know everything that was missing.
Anyway, ASOS refused the refund so I’ve opened a claim with PayPal, uploaded all the ‘proof’ - done it as an ‘Item Significantly Not As Described’ due to missing items.
ASOS have now gave Paypal information, that they’re reviewing.

How likely am I to win this claim? Surely with DPD taking their own photo showing the parcel open, they can’t refuse it?
My only issue is if ASOS have told PayPal I’ve done this numerous times… never had to involve PayPal before though and never actually had any proof, which I have in this instance.

(Nothing was missing from the parcel, was just good for me that it had somehow ended up open during transit and luckily I wasn’t home to accept, therefore there is photo evidence of it open)

Given you're claiming the Items were missing, you should've opted for "INR" (Item Not Received).

Or Is It relating to a single Item with parts of It missing?

You have photographic evidence of the open/damaged package, so It's looking good so far.

RE: PayPal Claim - Pudada - 10-23-2021

Not sure how to quote on here yet sorry. I did originally open the case as Item Not Received on PayPal but after some research I found that PayPal automatically close them in seller’s favour if the tracking shows as delivered - which it does.

So I called PayPal, explained everything and she said she will change it to SNAD and will raise it to a claim, even the PayPal advisor over the phone said you could clearly see the box had been opened in a sneaky way and tried to be hidden…

The only good thing is that the photo proof is actually on the DPD website, so I’ve got everything crossed for my money back but if ASOS say I’ve said things have been missing before in parcels, will PayPal close in their favour, or surely they can’t, as there is literal proof of an open box (and it’s not even my own photo, it’s the carriers photo)

I understand their INR policy and certainly agree with what you've stated based on general terms.

In your case however, you've received the package but not the Item (enclosed) hence under the circumstances, It renders their tracking/GPS records Irrelevant. The package was delivered, but Its Item wasn't, which essentially falls In PayPal's INR policy.

Good move, well done.

It's looking quite positive so far.

Past events are not a representation of current happenings.

You have the evidence, and that's all there Is to It.

Ahhh I see, will it impact my case that the PayPal advisor changed it to a ISNAD?
To be honest, I feel like they can’t refuse it, simply cos of the photo evidence.

Thanks for all your info!

Definitely not.

Disputes get changed all the time, either due to lack of knowledge from the account holder, or an error In judgement. By no means does It Imply an attempt to falsify the claim.

The nature of the photo you have In your possession, Is a very solid piece of evidence.

Personally, I don't see the grounds on which It can be declined.

They’ve closed it in my favour! Couldn’t not really, with the photo evidence, but just glad that ones done
