Serial method - shipping insurance? - talrodil - 10-22-2021

Noob here, loving all the content here and especially @mothered's detailed guidance.

I'm puzzled about using the serial method. I've checked a handful of major PC parts manufacturers and they all require the RMA package to be sent in an insured package.

For example, Kingston in Europe requires the package to be sent in an insured envelope.

If I try to box them or missing item, will they not just tell me to complain to my shipping carrier? And obviously the carrier knows what I sent in the first place.

What am I missing here? Thanks. Biggrin

No, the carrier's job Is to deliver packages, not evaluate claims.

Given you've purchased the Item from the company, It's their responsibility to manage your claim, as well as liaise with the carrier who serviced your delivery.
