Another Call of Duty Game... - Oni - 10-10-2021
Though Vanguard came out last month, it looks like there's another Call of Duty coming in 2022.
With the frequency of releases, it begs the question why there's even a Prestige system.

Can somebody please explain to me why they're all named like that? It's like they brought a new naming scheme into play for each game so there's no rhyme or reason to it when they're listed like that xD
Jesus though... That's a lot of releases lately. I haven't even managed to play CoD from two releases ago. I can't keep up with this. Not at $50+ a pop.
If they keep going at this rate, gacha will be the more financially viable option

Whatever they use will probably sound better than Call of Duty 25 (or 26)... At the very least they could save us some confusion and not use the same name twice.

Do you remember guitar hero? Activision did something similar with it. They had a new game or expansion every few months, for full price. They ran the series into the ground doing that, taking the US rythym game market down with it. It effectively killed that genre for the mainstream. You think they would learn.

Maybe I am in the minority, but I think the Modern Warfare reboot was the best Call of Duty in a LONG time and I would profoundly like a sequel.

The last MW was pretty good, I just wish they found a better way to enumerate them and spaced them out more.
Maybe it's me personally, but I'll generally get Prestige 1-2 and then a new game comes out. Kind of thwarts any feeling of progression.

Yeah I agree. It's more just to make it easier to follow either for new players, or to help it make more sense in general?

This is a much better way to put it! I've nothing against the making of more games, but it's more how the releases are done seems a bit off?
