Thoughts on a method I’ve been thinking about - holio2k - 09-27-2021 Say you order something, like from Amazon, receive it and ask for a return label. You go the postal office to return it. They scan it and they give you a postal receipt. Two seconds later you ”remember ”that you forgot to put that Iphone in the package that is at your home on the table. You ask nicely if you could get the package back to go home and put the Iphone pack inside. Say if they accept and in secret you put another edited label over the old one and remove any traces of your info on it. Then you return the package in and then act as you are in a hurry show them the recipt and if theres another person back at the counter explain the situation quick and leave. If done successfully the package would not be in the inventory but in the data system. Any thoughts? RE: Thoughts on a method I’ve been thinking about - Pandemic5th - 09-27-2021 Seems like more complicating factors could arise with this method, can't control these variables. There would be simpler methods to achieve a similar outcome, no? But, theoretically, I do think you could do this but you'd have to have decent in-person SE'ing skills. I find FTID is good for folks that aren't the strongest when it comes to in-person manipulation. RE: Thoughts on a method I’ve been thinking about - Akoz - 09-27-2021 I cannot see them giving you the parcel back... Or even if they do I assume they will have some way to cancel it in the system. I could be wrong never done it but I would have thought it would have been something they would think about RE: Thoughts on a method I’ve been thinking about - mothered - 09-28-2021 (09-27-2021, 10:32 PM)Akoz Wrote: I cannot see them giving you the parcel back... After they scan the original package, tell them that you forgot to add a reference number (or some variation), and they'll hand you the package. Place It on the floor (out of sight) as though you're fixing the Issue, swap It with the one In your bag and give It back. The entire process will only take 20 seconds or so without the need to leave the counter, hence any form of suspicion Is significantly reduced. That being said, In my view, the method Is too complicated and has more chance of failure than success. Ye, I can back this, It seems way too complicated when there are much easier methods out there definitely NOT saying it will not work... However, there are much better approaches. |
