Lenovo SE - smallgreyman - 09-03-2021

Hey again, I'm going to SE Laptop Lenovo Legion 5 15IMH05H. I was asking for so many things here :O (thanks for mothered support) and I decided that I will try with this Laptop for sure. I have S/N, now I'm making perfect invoice from shop in my country. This laptop was also bought in my country so I think it's good.

I wanna begin my SE saying that it's not working. Won't power on at all. Let's say that they'll want pictures or probably return the item. Which way should I follow? Tell them that suddenly while charging (trying everything to power on this laptop) battery has been leaking and I threw it out immediately. Or maybe better way is to FTID them? Or maybe even box them? I believe FTID is not the best option. I know that people on this forum had contact with Lenovo before. What is the most efficiate way to get replacament after they'd want to return it? Thank you in advance for help.

It depends what kind of warranty you got. If you got the best they will send out a technichian first. Seems to be a thing they starting to do lately to counter SE attempts.

I have the lowest one - Good Depot Support. No technician's help.

By the way warranty started 19 April. On invoice should I write that it has been bought 19 April or few days later?

I have addressed the issue of warranty status with Lenovo support.
They have explained that it is normal that the status is not updated with them automatically with the date of sale when the sale takes place. They update it at the first repair or if you call in the information from the receipt. So the receipt is important especially if you do not want to call Lenovo yourself to update the status.

Put the same date on the receipt as the the day you bought it.

Thanks for replying that fast. Still waiting on response which method should be most effective while "returning" defective item.

Since you're not really returnig it, boxing or FTID might be a good choice.
You got also you some methods to avoid the return, such as the disposal of a faulty item.
