What do you think of Auto Deleting Content? - Mint_DZ - 06-14-2013 So with the whole government watching you conspiracy going on people are worried about privacy. But the sad part is, people don't realize they're the ones giving all their info away. Posting on facebook leaves a timeline/archive of all the bullshit you've said in the past. And same goes for twitter and most other social networks. How do you stop this? Auto delete posts. Kind of like snapchat. It auto deletes the post after a few seconds. If twitter decided to automatically delete posts after 24 hours, it'd give you enough time to get your message across, and it wouldn't leave an archive of 40,000 tweets people can browse through. These are just some of my thoughts. I think it'd be pretty cool if there were alternatives to FaceBook, Twitter, and many other websites that auto deleted posts. RE: What do you think of Auto Deleting Content? - Cosmic - 06-14-2013 Twitter / Facebook could 'claim' to auto delete all they like, but they'd still keep backups, even if unintentionally. Maybe this will give you some insight. That's true I guess. I think it'd be really cool to see a Twitter alternative that saves absolutely no data though. Kind of like this: https://startpage.com/ That's a private search engine which saves no data. It'd be nice to see more websites like that. RE: What do you think of Auto Deleting Content? - Zurchi_DZ - 06-14-2013 That site is pretty cool @Mint I don't see how you could do a site like twitter and save no data. Wouldn't you need to so other people could read it? Like 24 hours for example. It'd give you enough time to get your message across, and it wouldn't leave an archive of 40,000 tweets people can browse through.
