Amazon account lock - paddedmailer90 - 08-26-2021

I am having a lot of trouble with locked amazon accounts after i make a big purchase (approx 1.5k USD) because the billing and shipping addresses on the account don't match. After sending in my billing statement and payment method pictures numerous times I keep getting rejected still. Would anyone happen to know a remedy for this or to avoid it in the future? Thanks Smile

What was the reason for the rejection?

What was the reason for the rejection?

They kept giving bullshit reasons like 'invalid document', 'insufficient document', 'illegible document', 'still on hold'

That's not good enough from Amazon - an Invalid or Insufficient document could be the result of many possibilities.

Ask them to specifically clarify It, thereby you'll know precisely what needs to be corrected.

The thing is, the email is sent from an automated email address that doesn't accept incoming replies. Hence, when calling up Amazon, the rep on the line always gives a generic answer such as 'I can only relay this to the concerned team involved etc...'. Furthermore, I have actually had accounts locked in the past few months for big purchases, but each time after I send in the required documents (which is the same as I have always been sending) the account will be unlocked. It's only recently that this is happening as in the documents just don't work anymore. I've got no idea what they could possibly require further as the billing statement shows the billing address on the account, the name and I provide pictures of the payment method used too (these are legitimate payment methods). I also just had one of these accounts hit with the account closure email from ofm@Amazon.com after calling up numerous times about this issue.

You're doing everything right on your end by complying with Amazon's request, yet they decline your documents without justifying their reason - which Is very poor customer service.

Ask the rep to provide you with the contact details of whom he's relaying the Information to.

They've been given what they've requested, hence It's appalling that they can't explain why your account cannot be reinstated. If they're still not willing to help, ask to speak with someone In senior management.
