Game SE Help - Akoz - 08-16-2021

I purchased a method from a member on the site regarding the SE'ing Of Steam Game Keys using CDKeys or G2A I got to a point in the SE where I was stuck so I asked the seller for some help but have just not received any messages back I shall just assume he/she is busy...

I am at a point where G2A is asking me to fill in a Police/ Fraud Report on the individual from who I purchased the key from and then I am to Scan the Document proving I have filed the report to the Support Ticket before my refund can be processed.

I have never gone through the police report system before so I am just looking for advice here on is there a way around this? Or should I go ahead and file the report?

Regards,

Are they requesting any specifics to be Included In the report, or to simply file and return It?

^ If that represents their response, then pending the PR, your SE has succeeded.

This is their exact response.

Dear User,

Thank you for your reply.

Before the application could be processed, please take a look at the necessary steps below:

1. First, you need to report the fraud committed by the seller to the local police or other appropriate authority in your area.

2. Next, please send a scan of the official document confirming a report was filed. The document should include:

• Your first and last name
• The price of the product
• The name of the product
• The seller's data (user ID, transaction ID, nickname, etc., anything that helps the police identify the seller). All this data can be found in the receipt for the order: https://dashboard.g2a.com/orders-history
• Official stamps confirming the authenticity of the report

Without such a document, your application might end up being rejected.

Your cooperation in this regard is highly appreciated

Is the request for the PR referring to a seller on a personal level?

If so, It's not good practice to target such Individuals. Ultimately, It's your call.

Ye It seems to be... That is why I was hesitant to do it as it seems a little excessive to attach that individual with a fraud report. I am going to write back and state I feel like I am attacking the individual in this case and I believe it should be the company taking the PR as I am using the company's Scheme for 7-Day Money-back Guarantee.

Very good move.

As SE'ers, we must respect each Individual's position. After all, we too, operate as a single entity and wouldn't want the same In return.

Absolutely.

Begin by not mentioning the Individual seller, and only state what you've said above regarding the company Itself. They may well agree with that alone but If not, then bring up the Individual as your backup plan.

@Akoz You won't need a PR on G2A when 1) you've paid the game with PayPal and 2) you're account is in a good standing for a chargeback.
If both of the above criteria are met, proceed as follows:

Chargeback your money on PayPal. Most of the time G2A won't respond to that so you'll have to wait 10 days and the refund is done. If G2A does reply, comply with what they ask, except if they ask for a police report again, in which you should complain to PayPal is ridiculous (especially if what you're buying is under $100).

I would try this when this won't work:

Cheers,

I think I did purchase this via Debit Card but next time I shall make sure I go through PayPal for a quicker turnaround.

You can still do a chargeback/bank reversal through your bank account.

Of course, There support sadly seems to take like 4 days to respond everytime when it comes to refunds haha so if they refuse the refund and demand the police report I shall do the chargeback
