Can we keep safely item after SE (MACBOOK) - Neymar10 - 08-13-2021
Hey guys
I SE'd a mac on amazon but i'm asking myself will they monitor the computer or whatever like this ?
Same for an iphone
Should i keep it or be carefull about it ? Like si there a way to change imei etc to be safe

From what I've heard, and in my experience, as amazon aren't the manufacturer- they don't do any serial number/IMEI checks, at least on macbooks.
Apple have the capability to check if an Apple ID is/has signed into a macbook, through the serial number. But they aren't involved as the purchase wasn't directly through Apple.
I'm not even sure if Apple would legally be able to give Amazon the capability to perform these checks- well, I suppose it would be allowed. Maybe they'd need to update their terms of service though.
