apple refund EB or DNA? - s'more - 08-08-2021 recently got a imac and didnt have to singed. I heard that apple DNA would never worked and just wondering if its true with this case? should i just use EB? the box is extremely huge tho since its a imac with keyboard and it was shipped from China ( not sure international shipping changed anything)? thanks for all your help! RE: apple refund EB or DNA? - botts - 08-08-2021 EB will absolutely not work. The item is simply too heavy- however that's assuming the package was handed directly to you. If not, you may have something to work with. Personally I'd go with the DOA (Dead on Arrival) method. It is definitely an option you should look into. It's worth noting that depending on what country you're in will determine the success of this method. A brief explanation of DOA is -Claim item is not working (dead), when you receive. It's best to do this via a phone call (depending on whether you think you can handle it, phone calls for SE can either be your best friend or your worst enemy). They'll ask you to do some troubleshooting so just go with it. -They will arrange for a courier to come to your house to pickup the device. -Once they come to your house, you will need to ensure you ignore them. Don't answer the door or give them any indication that you're in. -They will (hopefully, this is depending on the courier) drop off a return label for you, and leave. Then you FTID using the return label. There are a lot of reports that this is an on-scan process for apple (once apple sees that the return label has been scanned for shipping by the courier, they will automatically begin processing a replacement for you. Do not follow my (or anyones) advice without further researching. Investigate the facts yourself, looks for anecdotal reports of success and ensure you have a backup plan. Remember, there are plenty of other methods. DOA/FTID are actually some of the worst methods in comparison to others, for example a more sophisticated method- the Sealed Box Method. I'd appreciate it if you gave us an update on your progress when you further your SE. Best of luck. Given the weight will definitely register on their consignment, It will conclude the Item was enclosed. The only way It has a chance to succeed, Is If the package was left unattended at the doorstep and the Item Itself was stolen In the absence of Its occupants - which Is a variation of a DNA claim. What carrier serviced your delivery? UPS or FedEx? If It's FedEx, they require a signature on all standard deliveries - unless you advise to leave the package at a safe place, which will make you responsible. Also, did your shipment notification email state If a signature Is required on delivery? As such, It's perfect to DNA It. RE: apple refund EB or DNA? - zedrox464 - 11-10-2021 Any updates on this? What method did you use, and if you used DNA did they ask for a PR? |
